Rhode Island’s Quonset Business Park Surpasses 14,000 Jobs in Just 15 Months: A Testament to Strategic Investments

Quonset Business Park Exceeds 14,000 Employment Opportunities

Rhode Island’s Quonset Business Park has reached a major milestone of surpassing 14,000 jobs, just 15 months after it had 13,000 jobs. This achievement was celebrated by Governor Dan McKee, who praised the park as a vital contributor to economic activity and job growth in the state. The Quonset Development Corporation attributes the growth in jobs to strategic investments made at the Port of Davisville, which have attracted new companies and fostered job creation for local residents.

The Port of Davisville is set to undergo further upgrades and expansions, with plans in place for cable installation for a wind farm that is expected to generate hundreds of jobs in both Rhode Island and Connecticut. This wind farm project is just one example of how strategic investments have helped Quonset Business Park grow and thrive.

House Speaker K. Joseph Shekarchi commended the leadership at Quonset Business Park for reaching this impressive milestone. The House continues to support investments in the Port of Davisville, believing that these investments will create more jobs while also helping Rhode Island achieve its climate goals. Senate President Dominick Ruggerio also expressed his support for the park and its ongoing growth, solidifying Quonset’s reputation as one of the top Business Parks in the nation.
